John S. Sarzier, M.D., received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida.
Upon completion, he attended the University of South Florida College of Medicine, earning his medical degree while completing his internship in general surgery and fellowship in neurological surgery training. During his education, Sarzier received advanced training in the endovascular treatment of vascular problems of the brain, making him one of the few neurological surgeons in Florida with such unique non-surgical skills. He also completed advanced training in complex spinal surgery.
In addition, Sarzier was selected to become a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, the national honorary medical society. He received the Ambrose Pare Award from the Florida Chapter of the American College of Surgeons. He was recognized by the Honors Surgical Course and received the Award of Excellence from the Florida Infectious Disease Society.
Dr. Sarzier is Board Certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons and a National Board of Medical Examiners Diplomate. In addition, he is a Fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (FAANS) and Tumer Section Member, Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), and Fellow of the International College of Surgeons (FICS). He is also a member of the North American Spine Society and Congress of Neurological Surgeons and was selected as the Consumer Research Council’s Top Surgeon in 2008 & 2009.
During his career, Dr. Sarzier has been involved in numerous medical presentations and contributed scientific research to publications on medical, radiological, and neurological surgery interests.
