Dr. Julio Schwarz joins Burke Health Cardiology
Burke Health welcomes interventional cardiologist Dr. Julio Schwarz to their clinical practice, Burke Cardiology.
Dr. Schwarz began his premedical school training at the University of New Orleans, followed by medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. He then completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
After fellowship training in General Cardiology and advanced sub-specialty training in Interventional Cardiology at the University of Florida in Gainesville, he joined Statesboro Cardiology in 2016.
Dr. Schwarz has been treating patients in surrounding areas ever since, joining the team of physicians at Burke Health in 2021 to expand his services and combat rural heart health statistics within rural Georgia communities.
He is board certified in interventional cardiovascular medicine, cardiovascular disease, and internal medicine. He is a member of the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention, the American College of Cardiology, and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Schwarz cares for cardiac patients in the office, provides diagnostic testing, and performs interventional and vascular procedures at Burke Health’s Cardiac Cath Laboratory.
